MEDA manufactures a line of handheld ELF/VLF instruments for measuring the magnetic fields produced by power lines, TVs, video display terminals (VDT), appliances and other electrical devices. Our instruments include controls for selecting 60 Hz power line (50 Hz optional), VLF band (2 kHz to 50 kHz) or broad band (12 Hz to 50 kHz) RMS field measurement.
Each model includes two analog outputs: 0 to 2 volts corresponding to the RMS meter reading and a wideband sensor video output. The RMS output is suitable for recording the variation in the RMS magnitude of the field over time. The video output, which covers the 12 Hz to 50 kHz frequency band, is suitable for time series and spectrum analysis.
Our instruments have the highest resolution, 0.01 milligauss (mG), and widest bandwidth of any other handheld ELF/VLF instrument on the market today. The calibration of these instruments, like all our instruments, is traceable to NIST.
